Best radar detector

What's your guys opinions on radar detectors in the $300 range? I just got another ticket yesterday. I need to invest in one.

Escort? Valentine 1 or who?

Ok i know the most about radar detectors. Ive been researching them for a long time

I would invest in the Valentine One. A couple of friends have it and its a very good machine. They know when a cop is doing radar/laser Well in advanced. But if you're hit laser. You're screwed. Now i Had my other friends Escort and that was VERY good. I loved it. Now will the 2 the Valentine One picked up radar 3-4 seconds quicker then the Escort i mean this could be a good 3 seconds to slow down. Also what's a great feature is that it had the arrow's that point where it's comming from so you don't just look around

But I would eaither get the Valentine One or the Escort. Nothing else.

I believe you can get the Valentine one on ebay for about 300 used and the escort for about 250 used.

Don't get cheap one's because they suck and ive had many like the whisler one, cobras etc. They all suck. I just dont have the money to get a nice one like this

If you want just get the valentine one from their website and get the escort at Bestbuy if you dont want to go to E-bay route

hey dude i have seen people that have radar detector that can detect a police unit eventhough u can's see the unit. and i been told by this jack ass guy that i don't like that can get a police scaner detector which allowes u to hear what the cop that is close to u is saying or somthing like that. is this true?????? because i never heard of this.

yes, you can buy scanners that pick up on the polices radio but who the hell cares? police arent gonna talk on the radio about pulling you over...my dad has a valentine one, theyre awesome, guess i better start saving for my own

oh no u didn't understand me. let me explain.
its a radar detector that works as a police scanar detector that allowes u to hear what the cop that is behind u or in front of u is saying. in otherwords
it is a radar detector and a police scaner detector. that is what i mean.


and shit i need one of them radar detectors so when we have any meetings and is far from philly we can drive without beeing afraid of getting cought for speeding.(jersy state troopers. they like this kind of things)

my friend sold me a radio shack one for 40 bucks and it works pretty good, lol...

seriously though. i've never been pulled over by a cop - that's gotta say something for it.

except maybe that one time... and that's before i got the radar detector.... and he let me go anyways.

yeah id buy a valentine one... if i drove a car that was actually fast (not an accord) my whistler has saved me from 2 tickets in a period of 3 months... havent been pulled over yet.

yeah but cho now what? id rather put the 300 dollars on some MOD instead of throwing it down the drain like that.. mostlikely if you got pulled over with a V1 or escort the cop isnt gona give you a break...

Escort Passport 8500 hands down...

It's saved me from too many tickets to count...


Beats the V1 in all the tests...it's $100 cheaper than the Valentine too...





The only thing the V1 has on the escort are the directional arrows.... I have a friend with a V1 and they perform roughly the same... one is better in certain instances and the other is better in other instances... the difference is very slight... but just having driven his car for a week... I like the escort better... less false alarms IMO...
