idea to help keep car from being taken

    heres my idea.

when your park pull the ebrake. Drill a hole in the ebrake cover and install a lock. This will prevent someone from pushing the ebrake down. Keeping the wheels lock. I'm try it out.

first of all not to many ppl come to steal a car with a bolt cutter, second u can get the locks that prevent u from using a bolt cutter, like on the freight containers. Also, if u have a alarm this would slow them down giving you time to come out.

Then lock the gas or clutch pedal too. More stuff for the thief to do = less chance of the thief going through with it.

i always thought a kill switch would be ur best bet.i'm trying to figure out where the most convenient place would be for it but still hard for the theif to find.

just take the ecu fuse out they would never look, your car will try and start, but never will. The only way they can steal it is if they are smart look at the fuse or bring a tow truck. Thats what i do when i am in a place where i don't trust at all.

i guess that is a good good idea... too much hassle and trouble tho

i would go with grumpies idea.. and pull the ecu.. seems much more practical and hassle free

2-3 kill switches in different places all run from a remote.

Jack the car up and remove one of the rear wheels and lock it in the trunk.

                          Pull the spark plugs.

there are many weird, but effective ways to do it, but no mater what you do, if "they" want your car, "they" will take it. However I don't really see a theif getting a roll back to steal a 17 year old car.

you could put it inside one of the pull out trays (coin tray on the left or the ashtray). you could put a button on the top of one of them so when you pull it out, you reach into it, and poke up. it would be easier to hit if it was in the ashtray. i plan on putting a fingerprint recognition alarm's reader in my coin tray. thats a ways off though. for now, ill just get keyless entry and replace the front door handles with rears, and maybe a cheaper alarm. i dont have much in it right now.
