in st. louis it is illegal to drink beer out of a bucket while sitting on a curb.
this is because of the worlds fair that was there around the turn of the century. vendors were selling beer by the buckets and cops got tired of dealing with slopping drunk people sitting on the curbs and passing out.
also to do with alchohol:
in the 80s playboy wrote an artical about a drinking games competition with various "party schools" around the country. the University of Missouri-Rolla, where i currently attend, was not included in this competition. it was however a footnote (paraphrased): "the University of Missouri at Rolla was not part of this competition because we did not believe it was fair to include professionals" WOW! if you dint believe that, come see st pats every year it is a week and a half of straingt drinking, starting early in the morning (or whenever you wake up).
