I'm a member of Gen7accord Club, and recently the forum has been polluted heavily with porn spammers. I'm not sure about the admins, but the mods had been working there asses off in trying to fix this problem. Had this forum ever had that problem, and how were they gotten rid of?

We have had our issues with spammers here as well. Honestly, we still do.
We set up a scrambled image thing that most bots can't read (though it's not totally foolproof) and I believe some settings were changed that should throw some automated programs for a loop. Nothing will stop spammers from manually signing up and doing their thing, though.
We haven't had much porn crap, thankfully... mostly pharmaceutical crap.
The mods here DO still work their asses off to delete everything, I see more deleted spam than proper posts in the Beginner Off Topic very often!

Have the forum admin set up a new section... like our beginner forums here. Make it so new members MUST post in there before they can post elsewhere (one post and their status changes). Mods can keep an eye on that forum, ban spammers before they get out of that section, and limit the spam to one place that NOBODY ever sees Spammers will eventually just stop, with any luck.
