    I hate South Florida

Now we have this new "thing" (I don't know what to call it) where we can only water the lawn from 5am to 8am. Cause they are trying to conserve water. Well that fucks with my car. I'm gonna be having water spots every morning and everyday I go to work. I can't be washing my car everyday now!
    goshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

anyways, anyone know a good way to prevent water spots?? if there is evevn a way?

Can't you just park somewhere else so your car doesn't get hit by the water....

In Ma we have regluations like that to. During the summer we can only use outside water on either odd or even days. So basically i have to schedule when I'll wash my car becuase i don't want a fine.

As for the water spots Maybe a really nice Wax would work. or using one of those crazy absorbent towels to clean it up before you go to work. The only problem i would see with that is possible scratching the paint with any dirt that is already on the car.

Where would I park though? lol...I live in a house with a drive way that get hit with water. If I park in the street it still gets hit. It's a loose loose situation

Weight a minute! My dad leaves before the sprinklers come on...AND I think he put a spot in the driveway for his car not to get hit. We'll see how this works. I'll discuss this with him when I get home.

Yeah, the solution is to aim your damned sprinklers correctly. That's what really wastes water.....why on earth would you water the driveway/sidewalk/street.

I hate how people complain and complain when the solution is so simple. Besides, if you knew anything about lawns you'd know 5-8am is the best time to water anyway.

I think you can take the "South" out of that and be ok

They tried that up here in North GA, but it failed. They had it by address. addresses ending in an odd number watered on tues, thur, sat. even numbers got mon, wed, fri. No watering on Sundays. No one cared. they watered when they wanted and washed their cars when they wanted. Mainly because the city bitched about water usage, yet they had this HUGE fountain thing in the center of down town. it wasn't like a normal fountain that has a bowl the catches water and pumps it back up the spout. it was the ones that shot up from the sidewalks and the water just runs down the drain. People bitched and so the water limits were lifted.

Such an easy solution....As mentioned re-aim your sprinklers. IF its leaving a mark on the street your doing it wrong. Next if you so worried quit bitchin and buy a car cover or park somewhere else which doesnt sound like an option. Really not that hard if your so worried bout spots.

they are pointed away. There is wind though that blows it on my car at times. Also, the spot my dad has isn't full proof, but it is a lot better than mine. I don't normally park there cause my dad leaves first, then my mom leaves...from the garage. So it made more sense the way we had it setup. For the time being though...I'm willing to make the sacrafice of getting up early and moving it.

AND...we normally had the sprinklers on at 8:45. This is when all our cars were gone. I think its rediculous that we have to do it in those times.

we've had those regulations on and off in central florida for like 5 years... sometimes its hourly restrictions, sometimes its MWF or certain days... nobody pays attention to them anyways, id go ahead and wash your car... orlando imposes water restrictions, and leaves the timed sprinklers on when it's pouring during the summer...
