man i can relate to you guys with these flooded cars,

it was last May 10th '06 when a water main broke just outside of our property line from under ground. We've got one of those drive ways where it slopes downward into the garage where the '01 civic, i bought my mother and HAD just mailed the final payment, was park. i swear it there was enough water in throughout the whole basement to fill the car up to where the gauges were in the car. my bedroom being in the basement was also fucked.

the insurance company came by and estimated a total of $14K in damage. the shitty part was they decided to fix the car instead of chalking it up as a loss. one of my buddy said i should have tried to start the car that would have blown the engine.
