Possible malware problems from this site

I started having popup ads yesterday even when I didn't have IE open. I tried to clean with ad-aware, spybot and getting IS involved. I got rid of some stuff but I don't think everything was removed. Anyway, when I came to the site today a command prompt window opened up like something was trying to install (just like yesterday before I started having problems). Anyway, I am running Win2000 (SP3 I think) so I was behind on alot of updates. I think some worm used an exploit in IE to enter my system. I have updated the system and I am going to try to get rid of this but it seems to be tricky. Anyone else having problems?

I haven't had any problems regarding malware with this site.

How can you tell for sure that logging on here, is causing it?

Getting service pack 4 installed may fix some IE vulnerabilities, helping prevent certain malware attacks in the future.

Lucky you. I went down that road once before, but I wasn't strong enough so I turned back.

I know there IS one ad that tries to load an activex control... my browser blocks it (also IE, but I'm running XP now)

Bird333 contacted me about this, and I asked him to make this thread. I want to see if we can determine if it IS something on this site or not. If so, Clicksor will hear from me, and the problem will be corrected. I need to determine if we're definitely the cause, though!

The best thing to do is run spybot and whatever virus-scan you have in safe mode. That usually clears things up for me!

This same thing happened to me last night and today. but I thought it was just my school's comps.

Today it definitly happened while i was trying to get onto cb7. but last night when it happened i don't remember if i was checking out the site or not.

'Outerinfo' seems to have gotten installed on my machine. Just as I was typing this an 'unlimited ringtones' browser window just popped up.
