first, does anyone know a way to record straight off the computer, without using a mic. I thought one time i was recording sounds on the computer witht he built in windows recorder. But I have an old track on myspace i want to download but its not downloadable an i lost the pw and email to that account. anyone know how to get this?

u definitely need some sort of mic unless there is one that was built into ur moniter or something

It's pretty simple.

You will have to get into the recording settings of the application you are trying to record with. Once there, you'll most likely be able to select one source out of the following: Mic, Wave out, Line in, CD player, etc.

Selecting the wave out option will allow you to record anything that you hear through your pc speakers.
