if you want something somewhat close to the city, youre going to want to look at real estate in the "metro atlanta" area.
and in that, you have the choice to live within the perimeter, or outside the perimeter. the perimeter meaning I-285 (its a big circle, you cant miss it if you look at a map of GA).
i live ~25 miles south of downtown atlanta. not that close, but not that far away.
need more details to figure out what area is most desireable for you.

mcdonough i realy nice, so is locust grove. there close to atl and near the varsity where every first thurs of every month theres a huge car meet up there. and mcdonough and locust grove are right by summit racing.Comment

i love atlanta and there are alot of people down there (5+ million) and i like it because it is very spread out. i would say move to buford/lawrenceville/duluth area-Xavier

Don't waste your time and move to the dang suburbs. You WANT to live inside I-285. There are apartments to be had all over the city, including the NW and NE areas for not crazy amounts. Live as close to Buckhead as you can afford if you are trying to pull tang.

ok guys i kinda narrowed it down its either goin to be atl or Savannah (cause i love being near the beach) atl because its my first real move and from wat u guys tell me theres lots of apartments and stuff, but i still kinda wanna live in a house (a really nice but cheap one) help me out...
