    debate on buying brake pads

so if you didnt know i kinda drive two cars. one is a DD cb7 and the other is beater camry (DD vs. beater...i really dont know, hahaha)

the camry started to leak oil around the timing belt so maybe it is the front crank/main seal. i need brake pads for it but if it takes a shit on me then buying the brake pads for it would be a waste of money.

i also need to smog my dd cb7 and it was having problems with keeping it running. so im just waiting on a fuel pressure guage to diagnose the fuel pump.

so all in all, two old cars with old car problems. ALRIGHT!!!

and then there is the project cb7 which is for race use and all my money goes towards those... *shrugs*

0.5mm Oversized Stainless valves and bronze guides available. Pm me please.

Why not just get the pads later after you've sorted out the problem with the Camry. I suppose you can drive the Cb during that time since it's your DD.

Yeah looking forward to the your project cb as well. I've been reading through your thread.

thats the problem, i do not intend on putting in any money to the beater camry because we are dumping it in a year. so if it takes a shit then so be it...ill leave it on the side of the road and start hiking with my tool set and fishing gear

but yea, i know if the brakes fail and i get into an accident, it will end up costing more than the brake pads itself but im just trying to push my luck here. another option would be hitting the junk yard since i need to go anyways...and maybe snag a set of used brake pads, sand them on a flat surface and then just throw them on.

as for the project car, i have big plans for it...i just dont know which motor setup because i do plan on having the car entered in the Honda challenge. the freakin accords have such a disadvantage!!! not only does everything else have a 200-600 lb advantage but they also net the same crank stock hp...the preludes get the h23 and h22's while only weighing 100lbs more!!!

oh well, it wasnt a honda CHALLENGE for a reason.
