As some of you guys know I'm heading back to college after 3 years of just working and shiet.
At first when I enrolled I had my major to be an Associates Degree in Computer Networking . Yesterday after talking it over with an instructor and kinda re-thinking things, I changed my major from CNET to become a Honda Technician.
I figured it as this, I'd be doing what I enjoy for a living, I've had the opportunity to sit in an office from 9-5 Monday through Friday and it really wasn't my style, and that I enjoy working allot more with my hands tinkering with mechanical stuff rather than being in an office.
The college I'm going to attend has these vehicles that were donated to them by the local Acura and Honda dealer in town.
2005 Acura TL (Night Hawk Black Pearl)
2006 Acura RDX (Bordeaux Red)with stock Navigation System - Man this car is a thing of beauty.
2003 Acura MDX (Night Hawk Black Pearl)
2006 Honda Accord 4 Door DX (Silver)
2006 Honda Civic EX coupe (Rallye Red I think it also has the Navigation System)
1997 Acura RL (White pearl color)
2003 Honda CRV (Vogue Silver I think)
2005 Honda Pilot (this one was supposedly just donated since it fell off a train during what they call a transit from the factory en-route to
the dealer).
And for the body shop they had a 99 Civic EX coupe that was being worked on.
In two years I get my Associates Degree and based on how well I do on the Honda Training Modules I would be 80 percent certified towards becoming a Master Technician.
And I've heard the rest of the training would take place at the Honda Tech Center in Windsor Locks ,CT. The instructor told me that place is basically so clean he didn't even want to mess up the floor.
Once your out and you work for a couple years you have the chance to transfer any where you want in the country or the world.
I think besides myself theres another member here who will be in the same classes.
Wish me ( I mean us ) luck.
