Seriously why is it people are arrested for being drunk?, I was simply walking home from the bar, not hurting anyone, I chose not to drive. And i get arrested cause i stumbled once. BS!. I was just walking back to my buddies from the bar though, not bothering anyone. It was about a 5 block walk and I told him I was going right around the corner and he wouldnt let me go. I was actually nice this time too i didnt talk shit. He asked me where all my buddies were and was trying to bust them, I told him theres no way i'm tellin him where my buddies are an i got arrested. I was walking on a sidewalk, yes public...but seriously? thats fucking retarded, i can take care of myself.

easy solution would be take a cab or other type of paid driver. If you cant afford a cab everytime you go out drinking or cant find someone sober to drive you then you should not be drinking..... this would severly limit your chances of getting arrested again... but your choice of course. I cant say much for those who are living close to a bar a bar but if I did I would not want people drunk near my house.. But what you did was way better then driving

man, that sucks. Here in oregon they got rid of the whole "drunk in public" law just so people could walk home from the bar and not drive. as long as you're being cool about it and not being a dumb ass then nobody cares. If you act up then they just arrest you for disorderly conduct, but not drunk in public.
