Thieves Suck, Need opinions

Well so my stereo is gone yet again. 3rd time thieves have managed to rob my car and take my whole head unit. I'm pretty fucking sick and tired of this same old bullshit and I need some opinions as to what security measures people here are taking to have a lower rate of theft.

Story :::I basically come back from class around 12 at noon and I hit the chirper on the alarm and I notice it chirps irregularly. I check the perimeter of the vehicle to see if anyone hit me but no marks whatsoever. I go inside and notice they ripped the stereo out yet again. Mode of entry: bashed my rear quarter window. They took my stereo, registration and proof of insurance. Luckily I don't leave shit in my car other than those copies. I did have some college books but those were in the trunk. They even broke the glove compartment handle since I always lock that as well.

I always lock my glove compartment, remove the faceplate and keep it with me. I always club the car and set the alarm. I even remove the ecu fuse before going to bed at night. I want another stereo but this kinda shit makes me think twice since its costly to repair this bullshit.

Garage it? All I can say is put up cameras around your garage area. And dont be bangin your systems around your hood. You never know who is watching =O.

wat the nail man says. also, if its the 3rd time, i wouldnt even put a headunit in there anymore. if any, just get a older head unit, i got some old skool alpine which works and does the job. it dosent look like ur in the best hood by lookin at ur sig pic.

Yea cameras work wonders someone on my local forum just set up a system at his garage. Monitors everything. Took him 2 hours to install haha system was like 900 bucks but he got it for a steal for like 300 or somethin.

i do the same thing but with a block off plate from an integra that didnt come with a factory stereo.
where are you parking at school? i always park towards the front where theres more people, ill take some door dings if i can keep my stereo. and i turn my stereo off befor i get anywhere close to where im parking the car, never know if someone is watching.
maybe get some piezo sirens and install inside to deafen the next guy that tries unfortunatly it sounds like your the victim of bad luck

At my work they disappear fast, so now what i do is make my car look bad like not wash it, and my favorite thing, it sounds stupid but when I back my car out I actually push it, people always are asking me if there is something wrong with the tranny and I tell them yep. Makes people think my car shitty and less likely to get stolen.

Yeah, I thought about not getting anything fancy this time around. Something that hits but looks ordinary. Unfortunately, I can't garage the car at school but I do at home. What gets me is that they stole it in a well lit area in the middle of the day in one of the richest areas of San Diego where there were alot of other cars (La Jolla).

What I'm worried about now is the fact they know where I live. They took my lug key and they can get my rims if they wanted them. So now I have to get a whole new lug set

What I'm thinking of doing is something along the lines of what Gary(2.2litrebeater) mentioned. To get a super annoying alarm with sirens and lights and I like the idea of a block off plate alot. A kill switch is definately in the works as well as an alternate power source. Any websites for this info is appreciated. I'm also looking into jdm visors for the windows. They help protect against shit getting jammed between the window and door for easy access.

The jdm window visors are plastic (i think) and can probably be broken like anything else.
