vehicle performance meters (g-tech)

does anyone have experience with those? just wondering how accurate they are,etc. Ive always wanted to get one just to play around with.

I had the OLD model... the really crappy one. It worked well enough, but for it to work properly, you had to be able to go full throttle on a totally flat, smooth road. Great for a track, or if you can manage to drive on a runway... On the roads around here, it wasn't really useful to me. One dip or change in elevation can mess up the readings.

The new models might be better. The one I had was a bitch and a half to use. ONE button, and you had to tilt it to change any settings... It was more cumbersome than the Power Glove!

thats what i heard too is that the road has to be pretty flat. but maybe the newer ones are better

I prefer the blitz power meter. It goes by vehicle speed sensor and you calibrate it.

try sourcing the GPS based ones, then u won't have to worry about faulty or poorly designed accelerometers.

the new G-tech's...they aren't that expensive.

Yea I kinda figured its supposed to work in sync wih the Blitz ID boost meter. Thats a whole diff thing its useful if your turbo.
