turbos in the rear are great because theres no need to complex piping, or custom exhaust manifolds. PLUS, you're getting fresh cold air from the rear.

Basically it's just much simpler, and more cost effective. STS turbo kits ftw!

Yep rear mounted turbos arent new especially for caors with cramped engine bays. They have kits for the camaros also which is always fun to mess around with.

Rear mounted turbos take that into consideration and usually the gas tank is in the middle of the car not in the rear =D. Usually its the tub for the spare.

why turbos are in the rear for alot of reasons

rear end turbos are cooler when driving fast
theres no room in the engine bay to stick them (mind you the m5 is a 4.4 V8.)
there easy to mount
there easy to steal (muhhahahaha)
