Can't Check PMs?

Honestly though, this is the 2nd time that they've gone down. It's an easy fix... but that fix seems to be only temporary.
Deev, I'm going to work on this problem today. I'm going to need someone with full access around though. I'll do some searching to see what I can find. I'm not sure if this is a problem with the server (mysql) or the forums. Quite honestly, I think its with the forums. If mysql died server side, then nothing would work in cb7, not -just- the pm's. Know what I mean? So I'll see what I can do with it. You might have to get someone working on it forum side though.

Either way, we'll figure this out ... could always upgrade vbulletin

Yeah, the upgrade will have to happen soon, I suppose. I'll get all the necessary info on that.

I'll optimize the tables. That usually keeps goofy things from going on for a bit as well.

Yeah, the more I look into this, the more i think its a problem with vbulletin.
reason: forums are up, pm's go down. All is handled by mysql. Fix: restart mysql. Result : forums are up, pm's are up.

If it was a problem with the mysql server, the forums and pm's would be down.

I'm not sure if I can fix this problem. I do think its a problem with the forums.
I'll keep looking around to see if I can find anything that I can fix.

since we're obveously having problems with the PM system, it might be a good idea to backup your messages. If you go to your messages you have the options to download them (at the bottom of the page). If anyone notices they're down, you can reach me via AIM. I can get them backup quick, I'm still looking into the problem.
