Having a little issue, i have a hp pavilion dv500 laptop and for some reason the vol. and the mute button on the keyboard stop working. In the vol. control area it works fine though. Anyone have any solutions.

could be the actual hardware, like a bad contact or something. punch the fuck out of it -
Hit it didnt work. it only lights up if i go to the vol control area but if i hit it on the keyboard it wont mute.Comment

Yeah I was going to say... maybe go to control panel and get yourself to the device manager. From there I'd click on my keyboard and start playing around with drivers. Maybe even uninstall and reinstall. But be careful with that... duh. B/c you won't have a keyboard during that time period unless you've got another one hooked up.
But I'm not a computer expert, I usually just mess around (i.e. above) until it starts working again. And sometimes... stuff randomly starts up again. Like I had my laptop keyboard die twice, and both times it came back in a few days. VERY weird.Comment
