Sometimes I think US tuners know more about what's "JDM" than the Japanese tuners.
You know what they do in JDMland? They put stuff on their cars that they think looks good.
I'm gonna go to Pep Boys and stock up on 17" chrome Ikon wheels. I'll sell them to Japanese tuners, and they'll then be all the rage here! Watch Ikon wheels go from being $85 each to $250 each.
That Civic does look good. It's tasteful, and they aren't crappy wheels. Chrome is good if it's quality. So many chrome wheels on cars these days are poor quality, poorly matched to the car, and not fitting with the rest of the car's scheme (or lack thereof). I've seen stock-height rusted, dented, faded Civics with 18" chromes... looked idiotic.
