    Who else despises their job?

I hate going into work everyday....At the moment I work at a warehouse and all day I drive a fork-truck loading/unloading product off of trailers.

Up until recently I actually didnt mind my job....I like the people I worked with and the job was fairly easy to do....but I was just transfered to another warehouse and at this warehouse people put product where ever the hell they please....So when Im given an order to pick what should take me 45 min takes me 8 hours because I have to pull 20 milliion pallets out of rows just to get the one that I need.

Not to mention the fact that the new people I work with are completely incompetent....Which kinda explains why they dont put one product per row....but they also dont do anything....Yesterday I spent my 8 hour shift picking my one order....while the 3 employees who were supposed to be helping me sat in the office and talked to our boss.....They did absolutley nothing all day....and yet they were the first to leave at the end of the day.

Today I called in sick because I couldn't bring myself to go into that hell hole again.....but tomorrow Im gonna have to go in and spend another day hating life lol

The only good thing about this job is it gave me motivation to call my uncle and get him to set me up with a new job which I will hopefully be starting at the end of February.

I love my job...its something new all the time and it's exciting cause i could die any day ya never know. I do architectural sheet metal, we do alot of work on roofs with big pitches an alot of crazy shit. I love building stuff measuring all that. i've been there a year and still learn something new all the time. I've never been at the same jobsite more than a month. i get to travel alot too. only bad thing is i work outside, so winter kinda sucks, but i just layer up an use rain gear. plus i dont have to deal with customers, and if someone pisses me off odds are i wont get fired if i hit them in the face(seen it happen with my coworkers), as long as there not important. shit i've seen my coworker get a gun pulled on him from a guy in another trade. cussing also comes hand n hand with my job so i dont have to censor myself or pretend to be a nice guy.

Sucks about the transfer, but good thing it motivated you to look elsewhere. Its pointless to work for someplace you hate, but luckily you don't have to stick around long and are looking for others.

I like one of my job and dislike the other. I sit at a computer all day and go online (although some sites are restricted) for research purposes. The other is working at a restaurant, you have no idea how the customers have made me hate customer servicing.

I love my job. I work 3 days a week, max. Those 3 days are usually 15-17 hour days, but it's not bad. I spend most of the time on the road. The only downside is that sometimes there just isn't enough work... which is right now I'm going tomorrow to look for a second job.

            Nice rant...

If you have a problem with the co-workers or how the warehouse is being organized, you should talk to the boss and compare it to how you were working before at the previous warehouse. 45 mins to 8 hours is BAD production!

Or dont and look for new work that you would enjoy doing for more than a year... Hit up your Uncle...

I am also involved with the Architectural field as a draftsman for a firm. I learn something new daily and i really like my work and my co-workers. I do wish i was out in the field more ofter than sitting at a computer 8 hours a day. But i have the weekends to get up snowboarding.

            Good luck to you!

I hate my job too, Full-time student working Part-time hours sounds easy enough, but i'm more productive at night, which is when i work, and I usually work the entire weekend, which is 3 days wasted (fri, sat, sun). My job is cool because I have great co-workers, but the managers really expect us to be exceedingly productive despite all of our minimum wage. Everyone in my department is like "pssh... fuck thatttttt." But other than the fact that all the managers ride our asses, it's fun to hang out with my co-workers, especially since we're all generally the same age (19-24). Oh, I work at Macy*s. FTL!

i like my job a lot, i just dont get paid enough. being someone that does a little bit of estimating, that orders switchgear, fixtures, devices, generators...etc for electrical contractor on multi million dollar jobs. I am the only one that knows how to run AutoCAD for updating prints, and asbuilts and such, i only get paid $14.75, granted i have gotten a steady raise every 4 months, my medical insurance is free, and i have paid vacation and holidays. only been here over a year. oh yeh i also go to school full time, both electrical and regular school. for the level of drafting i do and the types of drawings i have to do, some of which have to be approved by an electrical engineer following code and such, i should be making somewhere near 17-18/hour. ah well, one day when i finish all my school, near 6 figures hear i come.

i don't mind my job. im a material handler. im always thinking and being challenged at the plastics plant. but the people they hire is a different story. i think there dumb, from the supers to the last machine operator. i've also tried to speak with the main boss/owners. they basically said they didn't care as long as parts are being made. don't care about the quality to much. asses!

I am still in school also so I think that holds me back a bit too. We do all Commercial also, mostly Educational facilities, but we have two huge renovation projects at the Orlando International Airport. Also i think pay only goes so far when you work for a subcontractor. My dad works for a major General Contractor well known not only here in the US, but in Europe as well, so eventually I might go over there as a Sr. Electrical Estimator or something.

Anyways the reason I posted, I still have some CAD classes left, one being the Advanced CAD which goes more indepth to 3D and I was thinking about taking the 3D CAD class as well, eventhough I dont need it. Do you do a lot of 3D stuff for Architectural, I figured you might do that, since Architects are "selling" there design.

And to anyone looking for jobs, always consider less pay if your benefits are included. Eventhough our medical only covers the actual employee, thats still probably 250-300 bones a month that goes in my pocket because I dont have to pay for it.

I know that feeling which is why I haven't quit yet....As much as I hate going into work everyday....I hate the feeling of being in debt and having the bills pile up.

I think the main reason I hate this job is cuz I went from a warehouse where I really enjoyed working with the people I worked with....The one guy I drove into work with everyday and when we got off work we'd play Call of Duty till like 4 in the morning lol....and now I work with a bunch of retarded monkeys....I can do any job as long as the people I work with make it fun and worthwhile.

Also this job is straight days....Now to some that my seem like a plus....but to me I hate working days....Im much more active at night so when I worked the afternoon/midnight shift I was in my prime....Now that I have to work 7:30-4 everyday Im lost lol.....I do get every weekend off though....but Ive had that since I started with this company.

I would talk to the boss about it...but he doesnt care anymore than the other employees do....So it would only be a waste of my breathe..

I was going to school to be a draftsman....I had to quit though because I couldnt afford to pay bills and tuition....If my uncle doesn't hook me up with a pimp job thats what Im gonna be going back to school for come september.
