I'm buying a domain name and need a reliable host as well. I used to use 1and1.com i'm curious if there is anything out there that is cheap and reliable.

I use TopHostingCenter.com You get a free domain when you sign up...
They have a SWEET deal where you pay a one time fee of $95.00, and you NEVER pay hosting fees again so long as you stay within the transfer rates (which are very generous at 3000GB/month). You also get unlimited domains, unlimited databases, and all kinds of goodies.
You can also select between Windows and Unix servers. I would suggest going with Unix...
