h22 in a civic.

I know the answered are out there and easily accessible out there to me, and NO i havent searched YET.

But how hard is it? I know hasport mounts, H->B tranny plate, and thats it? No cutting and repositioning the mount like needed for the k-swap?

a lot of people weld in the passenger mount i believe. gotta deal with wiring also. the h2b kit simplifies things greatly

If your doing h2b may wanna tell hasport so they equip you with the right trans mount. Shift linkage may need to be changed depending on model since it is cable. Pretty sure there is a pretty big writeup in the civic section on HT in the sticky portion. They have everything in there lol. I used to go there to source info how to do certain things on my civic from there lol.

I have a h22 civic in my garage :P. Swapping out trannies right now, but it isnt h2b. Just running a h23 tranny, far more street able with it. Besides its a stripped EG hatch so even with the long gears and a good set of street tires it smokes it in pretty much every gear.


I'd get the mounts for sure, the civic we are working on was preswapped and the motor was janked up in the engine bay. It sat angled, they used the wrong axles, and washers on the mount bolts to try to level it out. Shows you how cheap some honda people are. Everything is getting redone the right way though. I doubt its to hard if your starting out from scratch, little bit more tricky then a h swap into a cb7. Its def worth it though.
