EF D16 problem

I'm posting this for my friend who came up to me the other day and asked me why his 91 EF Hatch with OBD1 D16 SOHC VTEC Runs like crap and dies out when it comes to operating temp. He says when it happens its hard to get it to start, he told me he has to hold the throttle.

I told him its possibly the ECTS, but I'd like to see what other people think.

Nah he can do that, too much work for me

I'm still kinda mad because he asked me to help him do the swap and next thing i know he had it done at a shop who did a poopy job.
