    Vtec V8

First in the new RL in 2010 then in the next gen Ridgeline in 2011

    http://motortrend.com/future/concept...uture_hondav8/

it also mentions a turbodiesel V6

I'm somewhat ambivalent about Honda making a V8; I'd rather see the RL go to RWD if it really wants that car to compete. AWD is nice, but a complication.

yeah a lot of companies are going to be heading for diesels. Lambo is coming out with one. the emissions and mpg battles are being lost. But the only thing is the limited rev. range.

Well its about damn time Honda stepped up and started to plan a V8! Now they just need to drop one in the S2K....or at least a V6.

DUDE! STFU! I would not want a v6 S2000 because my Honda is a 4cyl high reving engine, not a v6 granny trq thing! You have spoken sacralige and will suffer for it one day! Shameful!

Personally, I don't give a FUCK about how high it revs....to me its all about low-end torque that you can actually use on the street. I hate having to 6K just to get the damn thing to go anywhere. The only way I would ever buy a S2K is if it had a torquey V6 or V8 under the hood. I think Car & Driver said it the best...."a wasp nest under the hood with not enough sting"

i wish that HONDA would put in a v6 in a S2000. look at the accord v6 coupe has the same horsepower with alot more torque and with a 6spd. so cant complain about that. sometimes thinking that i rather get a accord v6 coupe over the s2000 because of this

That and the F22C is so finely tuned that its hard to get much more power out of it with bolt ons.

And amazingly enough the v6 accord coupe with the 6 speed isn't much slower that the s2k. More of a reason they should come out with a dohc motor for the s2k. Much like the one for the nsx.

I mean a dohc v6 or inline 6. The s2k is a little faster with a good driver. What your buddy is feeling is tq.... One amazing thing the s2k doesn't have. But let me say this on a highway roll... its over for the s2k. That thing has nothing on the highway. Hell a mustang gt feels much much faster than a s2k... In reality they'll pull about the same 14 sec quarter mile run.
