My dad had one of these, but black.

They were still the Supra Celica in 86? I thought that was just an MKI thing.

The Celica-Supra nameplate was shared from the first through the send gen. (Mark I to Mark II), and the names cut ties with the Mark III. Prior to the MK3, both the Celica and the Celica-Supra shared chassis. When the MK3 hit, they were two totally different, unrelated chassis (The Supra was RWD, and the Celica went FWD/AWD)

IMO, the 5MGE that came with the MK2 was one of THE BEST M engines that came state side. (The best M motor period, IMO, was either the 6M-GTE or the original M that came with the 2000GT)

Put an exhaust one it. 2.5", and slap some BMW ITB's on it. Then it's done.

                  Nice pick up!

Beat me to it. Yeah that's pretty nice. My dad had a 1983 Celica GT-S that he bought new and we had it until about 1993. Sweet cars.
