    3.0 liter vtec idle problems

The starter when out on it so I had it sitting in the garage for a while. Then I put the starter on it and crank it. So i get idle fly or whatever but it does not go away after a while and when I put her in drive the rpm do not go down to 750 or soo, they stay at above 1k. Check engine lights on and I believe it gave something about the iac code. The sensor cost about 180 at mavericks... is there something clean or could it be something wrong with it.

bumpp... lol i replaced iac and burped coolant, and i got same problem. And for more detail when in gear rpm are at 1100, when the car gets warm, rpms in park are 1500ish stead and it sounds like its misfiring. J30 ftl!

I believe i did bro twice.... 3.0 liter vtec, and then i said j30.... introduced in 1997 i believe on the acura cl and then the accord.... smaller version off the nsx engine (i think) the j32. I did not think car mattered seeing has how people have swap engines all the time. But anyways its a 1999 accord coupe ex.

Ok we're not looking for WHEN the motor came out or WHAT car came equipped with it.

Heres a tip: If you want a legit response, be more descriptive and explain yourself more clearly.

So far in that cloud of ____ you call an explaination I got:

          iac issues
          780 rpm
          check engine light
          Henry R
          Koni/Neuspeed
          1992 Accord LX R.I.P
1993 Accord EX OG since 'o3
          Legend FSM

honestly come on.. it does not take a rocket scientist to know what idle fly is! rpm go up and down like the car got a mind of its own, in gear the rpms stay at 1100. Can everyone stop banging on me, I mean i did not think there were that many cars that have the 3 liter vtec..... I already replaced the the whole throttle body off a TL, i got nothing, code is p0505. I think my english not very good, or you guys are reading too fast.

You're obviously not helping either, so dont post.

Did you clean out the newer IACV? because its possible that you replaced it with another clogged one.

bro I was hoping that the one swapped in is also faulty because if it is not i am screwed! I cleaned the hell out of that iac, and throttle body. I would like to know if there is a way to test it... or something in that nature....
