radio head ache! ~1995 nissan quest

seems like installing a after market radio is a PITA on these. cuz few web sites show any diagrams for the quest. & in my haynes book. it says than gen gots 3 different wiring set ups for the radio. but the one it was for my year does not match what I have. because it says its one plug. mines is 2 plugs.

the 1st plug is square & I believe hides the speak wires.

the 2nd plug is rectangle & seems to have the other wires like power/dimmer/ex...


another thing Ive noticed is that the autozones/advanced auto parts dont sell the adapters for it. & I really dont want to cuz the OEM plugs off.



so can any one show me the correct wiring diagram for the 1995 nissan quest? or a place where I can get the correct adapter plug?

That van has alot of Ford........Its a Amplified Ford plug. There is like three different styles. Is the square plug long and metal? Go to a real stereo place... Ask to look at (if they carry metra) 70-5510... If you reach back there should be another grey plug with a similar style black coming back from the amp that you can use to bypass it with a old style ford plug 70-1770

Those came with an amp and i believe a sub in the back, as well as the option to have both a cassette radio and a cd player. Not sure what you have but keep that in mind when looking at the harness.

If you got to 12volt.com you can find out what wire is for what, and even eliminate the harnesses if you want like i did....
