    1990 nissan 240sx

    ok so i bought my first s13 and i have a problem with my single cam ka24e and ive done tons of work to it like timimg and changed fuel filter, fuel pump, maf, tps, air charge temperature sensor, dizzy coil, plugs, wires, cap, rotor. i cleaned out the iacv,and egr valve. when i turn it on it idles right under the 1k rpm and then accelerates by its self up to 2k rpm and then dies idk whats wrong with it also my coolant and oil is mixing too please help if you can i know this aint the 240sx fourms but i love it here lol

    I think this would be better off in the other automotive section. Nice pick up on that car though.

        If your coolant and oil are mixing wouldnt that be the head gasket?

            Does it have all the emissions stuff still hooked up? If so check your air lines
            have a crack in them as that can cause a car to surge like that.

            If you have coolant mixed with the oil I would advice you not to drive the car
            as the headgasket has gone bad like Lynx said.

              well it doesnt have any vacuum hoses and no p/s a/c or a o2 sensor if hat helps

                That doesn't help. You need an o2 sensor at least.

                Get factory manual and start hooking things back up the way they should be.

                  ok ill get the head gasket done and the 02 sensor too and ill update you guys oh and my 1st spark plug is always grenched in gas too i started to think that i hava a leaky injector too
