Your best bet would be Ebay or www.car-parts.com. They're really, really, really expensive though as the only car that came with it is the CL-S, and the new AV6 coupe.Originally posted by 93EXaestheticheheheheeh....
can you point me in the right direction ..where i would be able to purchase a CL tranny for the v6.??..
google is all over the place.........
I really wish I had the time to make a K2J adapter... we'd just need a CNC plate, a custom flywheel and the mounts. The AV6 would have been awesome with an MT

I hate to sound like skeptic, but honestly, I think I would try and sell the 6th gen, and buy a 7th gen coupe with the manual already in it.
Not only will you get about an extra 50WHP, but it will be stock with everything you want, and the 7th gen is a better built car in every way imaginable.
The only real downsides, are the somewhat controversial styling (I like all 7th gen coupes and 06+ sedans), and the front brake issue they have.
The coupes and sedans honestly can look quite hot if you do it right, and the brake issue is easily fixed with a better set of brake pads.
Your 6th gen with a manual tranny might run in the mid 15's, whereas a 7th gen can pull mid to low 14's stock with a good driver.
I like the way the 6th gens look too, but that is what I would do.
If you are absolutely dead set on doing it to a 6th gen, you will just have to keep an eye out online.
Your choices are a 7th gen V6 6speed tranny, a 2nd gen CL-S 6 speed tranny, or a 3rd gen TL/TL-S 6 speed tranny.
Of those, the TL/TL-S or CL-S trannies would be the most desireable as they both have Limited Slip Differentials. That will come in handy for harnessing that power.
Of course they will most likely be more expensive too, and the CL-S trannies are quite rare, although I don't think there is a significant mechanical difference between those and the ones in the 3rd gen TL.

LOL!Originally posted by 93EXaestheticyour intelligence has blessed this thread

I am just thinking that for what you could sell the 6th gen for, and what it would cost you to do the swap, you would have enough to get a 6 speed coupe.
The 6 speed sedans are still quite a bit more expensive, because 06 was the first year.

im gonna try to get mine v6 in silver or black..they have em in beige..but i really dont want beige...Originally posted by gloryaccordy6spd Accords are going for about 12-13 out the door right now. I definitely like the 6th gen's looks better (especially the sedan)
i wonder what kind of turbo kits they make for the j series
LSD is defintely a big issue with me..there is nothing i cant stand more..than losing traction and losing a race..ever since i did the 5 spd swap..my acceleration has been awesome..but my launches are weak cuz of tire spin
a CL tranny swap would def be in my plans if i get it

You're getting a 6th gen or 7th gen? Just save up and get a good 7th gen 6spd coupe for like 13-15. They're easy to get and are much better cars than 6th gens, and you won't have to bother with silly shyt like tranny swaps, finding a competent shop, etc.Originally posted by 93EXaestheticim gonna try to get mine v6 in silver or black..they have em in beige..but i really dont want beige...
