    Eclipse vs CB7

so today im cruisin down route 15 heading to walmart to return some speakers. So im just cruisin at a average of 65mph or so. And i see this red eclipse it was a 2nd gen. it had dark tinted windows well i get up beside it and as i get beside it i drop it into 4th, I was in the mood to mess a bit. well i dropped it in 4th and took off well they decided to punch it and ride up on my ass well i threw it into third and shifted into 4th they cut into the other lane and started catching up a bit i held it to the floor they never got passed me. shocked me i took a eclipse

it urks my nerve when people post in threads of stuff they dont like. like a thread we had about body kits. some idiot decided to come in there talking trash about body kits.

if you dont like the thread or the subject of it, then dont post in it. its that simple. it'll avoid arguments and flaming.

yeah i know what you mean man.
i too like to give it a little gas here and there, but you really gotta keep it in moderation.
i got my license suspended in the first 11 months i had my license due to 5 speeding tickets, 2 for seatbelt, 1 for expired registration, 1 for no driver license. and one for a blown headlight when i used my parents car one night.
then after i decided i would chill out with it, i crashed my beloved cb leaving my neighborhood on the way to class one morning.
yeah its fun, but it really isnt worth it.
had to learn that one the hard way.

                      If you street race

If you street race, fine I really don't mind. What I care about is the speed you are going, anything that says "shift into 4th" is too much. If you have to go all the way through third that is about it, and if it is on a normal not closed, not from a stop with everyone near you knowing what is going on anything through 2 is too much.

and you know this, If the eclipse was that much fun you should have slowed down, rolled down a window and suggested you go from a dig on a lonely back road that no one drives.

, It's not "if you dont like street racing" It's that I and some others have seen this STREET RACE RACE RACE behavior before.

I'm Guilty of it myself in my younger days, badly. Just speaking from my experience I can tell you it will not turn out well. I have lots of entertaining stories about it and have no regrets, but I'm still alive, three badly totaled cars later.

Yea I bucked the odds. Not all will.

A young guy like brianh1290 is here to learn things about vehicles and he has some more learning to do. He can take or leave the advice given, but without some given he may not consider to take it or the consequences seriously.

brianh1290 seems to be a real nice guy and I don't think anybody posted anything negative about personally, just about what certainly seems to be his STREET RACE RACE RACE behavior.

I haven't spent more than a bucket full and pissed of my girlfriend to no end working the CB all the time to drive like a grandma. I just really try to be VERY careful to pick the right time and place to mess around. And they are few and FAR between.

brianh1290 if it's an all time need you really need to seek help or get into organized racing before you end up like I did.

Just saying getting caught up in the moment might not be a place that ends up being where you want to be.

well, i appreciate your input. i really do. but, im not condoning what he does as a good thing. its like i stated above, and i want eveyone to read this post too:

we had a thread on here before that had the OP asking everyone to post up their body kits. it was going good. it was anice idea. some mods posted up there too. sharing ideas and stuff. then someone came on there talking junk about body kits. he knew he didnt like body kits. he knew the thread was about body kits. matter of fact the TITLE had the words "body kits" in it. but he still entered it. so his sole purpose for going in there was to start trouble. and i think he ended up getting banned. the point is this: if you dont like what the thread is about, dont post in it, dont enter it, dont even look at it. period. that will avoid any undue flamming and arguments that will get people banned.

if you have some info or advice for the guy, PM it to him so its not looked at as if your trying to start something. i applaud your efforts to keep racing off the streets and on the track. i do. but this a racing section of the forum. so expect there to be a little street race here and there. either say "nice kill", "dag man. you lost this one. maybe next time. read on this thread to get a little more power", or say you need a better picture if you dont understand. not "stop street racing." thats already in the disclaimer set out by Deev himself.
