Shifting into 2nd?

I was wondering what i could be doing wrong if anything at all? When i launch everything is all good but when i hit 2nd gear it lags and then into 3rd it is nice and smooth. What could cause this?

Accord tranny's are like that. You need to shift into 2nd slower

when you say shift into second slower do you mean shift earlier? i shift right at redline.

shifting at redline is not a great idea on a stock f22 motor because the motors power peaks before redline.

Yeah, shifting from 1st to 2nd is always hard. I never rev too hard or too high, I ease it into 2nd. After 2nd I can rev to redline and shift fine.

ya dont throw it all hard into 2nd or u could mess up ur gear. let it go in on its own dont just shove it in there

Make sure to double clutch. If you really feel like being risky, triple clutch

i think i am being misunderstood all my shifts are smooth its just when going from 1st to 2nd it ("bogs") lags not sure how to say it. you know how on a vtec honda it usually stays in vtec when shifting (when racing). well lets say my car has vtec when i shift from 1st to 2nd i would be out of vtec for a second and then it picks up hard. if that makes any sense!

if you have DOHC VTEC, get a V-AFC, vtec controller.

Are you spinning the tires at all? I shift around 6400 from 1st to 2nd and it doeas just fine. Feels like a kick in the ass actually; even though the power peaks before the redline, when you shift higher it makes the intail revs in 2nd higher. I'm not sure where the revs are after the shift but it close to where peak torque is.
Edit: if your spinning the tires let off a little to stop tire spin and then shift around 6k.
