Raced a friend

After work, my friend and I let our cars warm up and and burned out all over the parking lot. We have this street in Palmdale (Ave. P) that is roughly 5 miles long with lights that pretty much stay green all the time. My work is right off it and we pulled out to the light. Launching at 5000 RPM I smoked him off the line and into 2nd gear untill about 5500 RPM. He passed me and untill I hit 4th gear around 85-90 MPH. We never shifted into 5th so I only hit around 115 MPH.
He has a 91 Civic hatch with Integra GSR engine and ECU, DC Header, 2.5 inch exhaust and Apex'i N1 Muffler. Suspension is Neuspeed race springs strut bar. 16's with 205/40ZR16 tires.
I am running stock rims and BFGoodrich Radial T/A's 205/60R14 for now. The rest of the mods are in my profile.
Does this story sound consistant with the mods we have?

no it does not. you might be able to take him off the line, but he should have pulled on you hard. a c1 isnt the most potent motor, but in a hatch, its very effective.

Heck no it doesn't make sense like the other lx who beat other ppl and my lx has less that yours and I've got an insane list of cars I've taken. It doesn't make sense and ppl don't believe how I keep taking so many cars. Tis why I'm going to start videoing my regular burnings~! Get em sometimes daily. I win WAY more than I lose. Esplain that? -lx with muffler and short ram air intake and that's IT. had 4, FOUR mustang gt's in the last month. Two not by much but I out-manuevered them on the highway. Two eclipses, one I don't know how modified but it sure wasn't stock. figure all that out

I don't under stand it either. But I think his might might not of been warmed up and he started to bog a bit when it did. My lx does that sometimes.

i don't know smokingspeeds, i think its pretty easy to beat cars that don't know you are racing... cuz oftentimes i have civics that "beat" me all the time. only thing is that i ain't racing

i don't mean to be a dick but i think its nearly impossible for a STOCK lx to beat not one, not two, not three, but FOUR mustang gt's in a month. correct me if i am wrong, but i don't even think an h22 could accomplish that feat...

Heh, maybe I shoulda posted that on an *it's a miracle site?* heh lol well ok got beat by an older 80's model mustang on the highway yesterday. He pulled on me hard. So yeah... I have a lot of respect for mustangs and I don't know how the others happened but I'm not a total idiot cause when someone really wants to race you can tell. Maybe they weren't trying or maybe they sucked or maybe because they were all early 90's models and prolly At's they mighta sucked and two of them were convertables so extra weight there... But I don't know. Nobody believes me but I'm not making up dumb stories for the fun of it. The dumb stories actually happened! lol

this somewhat reminds me of when my buddy used to boast and brag about beating mustangs and camaro's all the time, then he finally agreed to race me and I smoked him in my automatic accord... Ofcourse since he was a straight liar he had to make up a mountain of excuses, but I knew the truth...

newer mustang gts STOCK run low15s high 14s, they arent really that impressive really..........................

yeah my friend drives an 88 5.0 and there is no way i would beat that thing. only way would be him would be if it was pouring or if there was ice on the road because late 80's early 90's mustangs don't get traction for shit
