    4thGen4dr VS IS 300

    Tonight Im comin home alittle buzzed and theres this IS300 in front of me dipping. Im like should I follow him for alittle? Well I do and we get to the light right next to my house. Light is red I start off normal and as I shift into 2nd I hear him gunned it still in first so hes already next to me even. I honestly thought he was goin to past me but wait,I drop down to first as I hear him and head to 5000rpm haha and my engine roars and I pull on him as he thinks hes gonna past me LOL. As he shifts into second Im a car ahead and have my blinkers on lol. Roads were wet so I shut off at the end of second and see in my rear view mirror he was 3 cars behind me goin the speen limit lol. I turn and make a uey and end my nite happy I love being a sleeper LOL.

    lol awesome. I hope someday I will have an h22a. better yet i know i will. Prob by the end of the summer or next year

      yeah the IS 300 autos are quite abit of hype, there decent but not what I expected from it after driving it. even with the sport shift auto tranny you can feel the tranny sucking up some hp and responsiveness

        what tranny and ecu do you have? im not sure what exactly causes it... but if im going above 5mph, it locks me out of 1st gear. just like if im in 5th, it locks me out of going directly down to reverse.

          yeah mine does that too, i believe all the f22 trannys do that its just a safety feature so you dont fuck up the tranny, you shouldnt be shifting into 1st anyway

            Damn that blows, remember I got a auto with the H22 TCU and P13. Shits loves to downshift wenever it can!

              is it true that the IS300's have a similar/same motor as the non-turbo supra's?

                it is true. Its an 2jz-ge engine with VVT-i same one that they put in the GS300 and other 300 series lexus. Makes somewhere around 220hp @ 5800rpms.
