Killed a turbo eclipse

Well this happened a couple days ago, but I haven't had time to write about it. Anyways I was driving around and about to park to go to my dorm and this turbo eclipse stopped next to me at the light but I didn't really think much of it. After the light turned green I just took off like normal but then around 15-20 he just gunned it so I did too and was starting to pull on him but he took off about 3 cars ahead of me so it wasn't really a fair race. So when we stopped next I asked him if he wanted to run and he said sure so we took off from around 40 and I just dropped it in second and pulled hard on him but after I was out of second it looked like it was pretty much even on acceleration but by the time I let off around 90 or so I was probably 2-3 cars ahead of him. I was really suprised because I thought I was going to get owned. So for the facts.. It was the 2nd to newest generation fwd eclipse which I think was fairly stock (it had a greddy license plate cover so maybe a turbo timer or something irrelevant). Now before anyone starts to call bs I'll let you know that my car ran a low 16 stock so I can drive it well and/or its somewhat of a freak. My performnace mods are CAI, Pacesetter Headers, full 2.5" exhaust, gude cam, bosch +4 platinum plugs, and 16" motegi ff6 racing wheels. I'm in bryan/college station right now so if anyone lives near here or Dallas I will be more than happy to race and prove myself

Dang I won't be up there then. I don't go too often so I can keep some miles off my car but I'll be up there the weekend of Oct. 24th and halloween weekend.

i raced one like 3-4 months ago when i first got my head, cam, cam gear job done.
plus i had my heavy ass Tenzo mean 6 17inch wheels on my car.
we was goin to the nopi car show in my area that day and i pulled next to the eclispe and said my F it, lets see what all this money i put in her can do, i get smoked i get smoked.
so i Rev, he looks over and from about 30 we go, side by side the whole way til traffic came up. and he stopped.
He was so pissed he couldnt believe he couldnt smoke an accord
after that he tried to race me again once traffic cleared. he was waiting for me to pull up by him again but my exit came up.
i had my fellow cb7's behind me rooting me on...lol

Just judging by other cars I run I should be somewhere around a 15. I've actually seen an awd talon run a 14.5 stock. This guy in the eclipse looked really suprised he just got beat by an Accord too lol. After the first race he wanted to go again of course so we went again from a stop and a roll and I took him both times. DSM's aren't really reliable but they do have pretty good peformance potential even on stock internals. I don't like them much either they look a little too girly for me.

Hey bro, I live up in Dallas and if you want to meet up we can. I don't really like to street race since I'll most likely have my 3 month old with me, but I'd be more then happy to meet another CB7 member just to shoot the shit! Let me know!...

the eclipses do it up but its always something drivetrain related that breaks on that shit . As for us hondas its the axles

If any of ya'll want to race I have a 1g TSi... I ran a 15.0 stock. It won't be stock much longer, so the earlier the race, the better for you.
