    CB7 guys in Indiana?

I searched a little bit really quickly and didn't find a thread for Indy AT'ers or a list of them, although I'm sure someone's posted, but I thought I'd throw a post up and see if anyone here lives in Indy.

I know I can't do too much on my own, but with someone's help I might be able to do more. I took a shop class my senior year last year at HS, but that didn't really teach me too much, especially because in that class they had engines taken out seperately and so it was much easier to work on them.

Anyway, if someone is in the area or even a couple of guys, maybe we could get together and work on things together?

I'm in Muncie, and lxmodcar is too. Sulimed is in Indy.

What are you looking to do? Check out the MWCC thread in this section too. There are quite a few of use out there that I am forgetting.

Ok, cool. I'm hoping to start by fixing up the body a bit and getting rid of the rust above the rear wheels, and then replacing the dented hood and having the car repainted. I would likely be prepping it myself depending on the price of it otherwise.

Mechanically, which is where I'd need help, I want to do a hub over rotor conversion on the front and swap out the rear drum brakes for disc brakes, and then install that valve that others seem to be putting that allows the rears to break a bit more, almost as much as the front if I remember correctly?

I'd also like to get new shocks/springs for it because it still has all the stock stuff and it's got around 185k miles on there by now. Basically, the car has been maintained very well and we plan on keeping it for a long time. If I had the help of one or two others in the area, I think I'd be able to do this work related to the breaking and suspension. Obviously I would help them as well when they needed it or something like that, I'm sure we can work something out

Edit: I'm in Carmel or West Lafayette, always going between the two because I go to Purdue for school and live otherwise in Carmel. I'm actually coming home next Tuesday and am hoping to remove some rust and bondo it up.

I can do suspension, no problem. I cant do body work, and HondaFan81 is someone you need to hit up on the rotor over hub conversion. He is somewhat local and could be a huge help. In the midwest hes definately a specialist.

I dont think the rear disc conversion is worth it.. but its ur car. It is a lot of work mang.

I go to purdue too, at IUPUI and in Muncie. But I live in Michigan so next Tuesday I'll be heading home.. lol

I'm in Danville, IL which is like...right on the border to Indiana. I'm not mechanically inclined enough on CB7's to help you do any kind of major work unless you want to swap the motor or something.

However if you get ahold of a Civic or CRX...that's a different story.

Sorry about not replying to this thread - but thanks for everyone posting in here. We should setup a meet somewhere here in Indy or around it (Ohio?).

I ended up fixing the rust on my car myself. When I do get around to do suspension work, I'll probably drop a message over here so that I can maybe get help from one or two people and we can do it together. If you guys have anything coming up, don't hesitate to make a thread in the midwest forum and maybe a few of us can meet up to work on it.

yeah I had to fix rust on my accord when i bought it...its sorta bubbling back now which sucks.
Switching out the shocks and springs wasnt too bad for me anyway...I installed kyb agxs with eibach sportline springs. Im with whitejm though on the rear disc conversion it is a pain in the ars. Good luck man
