Just wanted to start a thread on the upcoming national meet. I'll edit it accordingly as plans get ... planned out.. lol. For now post up if you guys are going, so we can get a roll call list going. And start organizing on places to stay if you guys plan on staying the weekend or whatnot.
I plan on leaving Friday .. hopefully I can get work off, that way I can get my car cleaned up before the meet. If not then i'll have to leave early morning Saturday and go straight to the meet. It would be ideal to Caravan on a Friday early afternoon.. get settled in hotels or where ever regroup then maybe hit some restaurants/bars and chill out and stuff.
I'd also suggest taking a walkie talkie radio with.. and maybe we can just have a home channel.. that's if we caravan.. but it would be cool if we just spread the word on a home channel and everyone who is coming the meet from across the country will be using that same channel.

**STATUS ON STUFF**
in preparation to this trip:
change their oil!
carry extra oil
carry chains if you guys have 'em
carry some coolant/water
I'd also take some dot3 fluid, just in case
Rest before you all drive, or make sure to pull over and rest if you are tired
get ur mapquest printouts or gps in hand
Take down a couple of other members phone numbers.. PM me if you want mine
If you have a walkie talkie set it to channel 3 - 7 (that's where mine is)

Buttonwillow Pit-Stop.

This is the Travel Center, around the area there's food and stuff. This spot has the largest parking lot and gas (if you are not picky on what brand of gas you use), clean restrooms, and a nice convenient store for all your road trip needs.
Wes and I will be arriving here at Buttonwillow at approx. 4:30 - 5pm. If any caravans get split up, this will be our midway-point. Stop here call your caravans and see where they are at and let them know where you are at. Take a break, have a beer... .. wait i mean.. stretch your legs, and continue on.
