ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    HID problem

When my parents first bought the car in 96 it came with a starting bypass meaning you have to turn on the headlights to start the car. well, yesterday my HIDS came in and when i plugged everything in the lights didnt turn on. So i took the HIDS and plugged them in my friends integra (9006 also) and they work perfectly fine. My other friend said that the bypass could be the prblem, but i dont see how. He bypassed the bypass and still nothing work, does anyone know what might be the problem? we checked the fuses and everything seems to be working fine. and the halogen bulbs work but when we plug the HIDS nothing.

Try switching the pins on the hid kit plugs. Take a small screw driver and push out the 2 pins, and switch their positions.

How was it bypassed? Are you sure your buddy bypassed it correctly?

Get an aftermarket harness for that kit... or you'll fry your wiring.

Yeah he bypasses the bypass, but then my car wouldnt start so he had to put the by pass back, but even when he by pass the by pass the lights wouldnt work. I was guessing that i have to change my fuses, but they said it wouldnt matter. the brand of the hids is xenon-vision, cost me alot

maybe youre not getting enough power without the motor running or you possibly might need a relay to make it work

leave the wiring how it was with the halogen bulbs. is it a plug n play kit? just make sure before u plug it in ur ground matches and ur 12v matches up. and it should turn on. dont bypass the bypass lol

bypass the bypass by bypassing the bypass that was bypassed

no, the plug that plugs into your stock headlight harness.. plug them in the opposite way they are supposed to go.. force them in... doing this reverses the polarity, which is what i had to do in order to get mine to work
