ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

I lost my legend lip :(

So, today I was coming back from the junkyard pick and pull happy, because I got some stuff that I needed for my car, and some stuff that I may sell. So as I was driving back home on the highway, going about 130kph, it felt like I hit a small speed bump or something. Looked into my rearview mirror, and what do I see...my legend lip on the road getting run over by a big semi truck . I was soo pissed from that point on, because someone at the junkyard commented on how nice my car looked and that the lip made it look really mean. He even offered me money for it, but I said I didnt want to sell it, now its gone

anyways, now Im in the market for a new lip, any segestions...

it was only mounted with 4 self tapping screws into the bumper, I guess it was partially my fault that it came off. My next lip will be mounted more securely, with bolts, washers, and locking nuts

pick up the Acura Legend Coupe lip, it is much bigger and nicer. Oh, and this time use some rivets or some lock nuts.

I used 12 fasteners on my legend lip.

x2. Self tapping screws have nothing to hold them in once they begin to pull out.

Get another legend lip. They look a whole lot higher quality-wise then
anything else. CD lips are strange imo, and they dont go low enough...

my legend lip is held on by 4 bolts, 8 washers and 4 nuts all which are stainless steel since it's going under the car.

yeah next time use 6 bolts, 12 washers and 6 locking nuts, I've got up curbs and scraped it and it still doesn't budge or move, even when going at 100+ mph. But the key is to learn from your mistakes. I'd say get another Legend lip, they're pretty damn durable and good looking.
