ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

i think the whole point of the 50buck job is that you use a self leveling enamel and cheap rollers... if youre going to go with a gun and all of the rest of the chemicals that go with that, youre in the territory of a normal paint job, just a more affordable DIY one.

Dude Def use a spray gun
harbor freight has some cheap guns that you can buy and PPG has a brand of paint called shop line it is retively cheap depending on color but really cheap compared to other brands and will look last and hold up better than a roller job bc you will regret if you ever have to go back and try to paint it because you will never be able to get all that stuff off without striping it all the way down.

Get a test panel and just try from about 1 to foot and 1/2 and try what feels best try to use your wrist and not so much elbow just prep good or will end up doing it again because trash and use a tack rag before squirting and you can get paint at a local paint store they sell to the public. and yes prime first!Originally posted by hs06very nice maybe might use it anyone give me help how make look best like how far to gun away should i prime first now? where can i find the paint

like mike said, it wont be a $50 job if you use a gun, more like a couple hundred, but there will be much less sanding. personally, i would buy a $99 set of 2 guns/accessories (i cant remember the brand, but i saw that set in a magazine once and it was good), primer, paint, clear-coat, and wet/dry sandpaper (as well as all the other stuff i cant think of right now). it shouldnt be more than about 400 if ou get decent stuff for all of it.
