ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    Just some pointers

Looking fix some things. Rust and a dent.
If you click on the thumbs you'll be taken to photobucket.

So I just want to see if i got the right ideas on this.
    Here is the dent:

For this I'm going to sand it fill it and prime it right?

    Rust:

With the rust I think is almost the same thing, sand it and prime it.

It shouldn't be difficult. Also any help or leads as to paint the entire vehicle would be welcome.

The large dent on the side needs to be popped out first. That is too much to just fill with Bondo. You should be able to tap on it from the inside. Just remove the carpet in the trunk. You want the panel to be as close to smooth as possible before you fill and sand.Too much filler and the paint will chunk off . The small bit on the edge of the wheel well should sand down easily. It doesn't look bad at all. There are some good tips in the DIY section if you want to paint the whole car.

Thanks. I'll check there. I don't think I'm using the right tools to pop that thing out. Here is something funny, I tried that ding king and it broke on me. LOL.

There is a peice of the frame in the trunk that makes very awkard to get to I'll give another shot though. And thanks again.

Yes, itll be a little hard to remove that dent from behind, youll need to find someone to weld nails on top of the dent and use a puller to "hammer " them off, after that youll need to grind everything well, taking off the paint and reminders of welds and use evercoat filler( wich is cheaper and better than bondo trademark) after that, you would basically finish like any other small dent. A hammer from the inside would work if the place was more accesible, and i have tried using rods to straighthen dents, but they usually bend if there is a supports behind such as in this accords. The rust spot will need to be poked with a screw driver, if you hear craking it means you need to cut out the extenct of the rust, and then weld in a patch, these accords usually rust in there, itll have to be cut, im telling you, if you dont cut it now itll haunt you after new paint is on. Youll need to take the bumper off to fix that rust spot, good luck

Thanks. I am thinking about a body shop to get this work done. Hopefully I'm not in the $1000's yet. But we'll see.

Oh yeah, that rust is hard enough to sand down. I couldn't chip it or anything today. I scraped a little down to bare metal so I guess that's good.

          Thanks again.
