ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    lowering the cb

ok so i wana drop my 92 lx but i was wondering if it was stupid to drop it with the just the springs cause a friend of mine is junking his 94 accord and asked if i wanted the springs. i belive they fit but idk if i should throw 2"lowering springs on oem shocks? but at the same time i dont really wana spend like 600$ on tokico shocks and springs and on top of that installation. im broke right now but enyways would it mess up my suspention real bad if i do?

I couldn't wait and put 2" lowering springs on OEM shocks. Blew in a month lol. Adjustable coilovers are pending, so the tirade of boating around town will soon be over. BTW it's scary driving with blown shocks; car handles very poorly.

its better if you save some money to buy a sport shock and then after that drop your car as low as you want, but not to low.

all this tells me is that you are an idiot...

People act like ride quality is the only concern. SAFETY is the biggest concern! When the shocks blow, your wheels leave the ground over bumps, and when braking hard. The shocks in our cars are very likely original... which means they're older than most of you kiddies on here. Slamming a car on those is absolutely stupid.

If you can't afford to do it right, you can't afford to do it at all. I don't want to be the guy you hit because you were too cheap to replace your shocks.

If you want to go cheap, KYB GR2 shocks are very reasonable, and they seem to hold up for a good while.

                            deevergote has a good point.
save up and do it right, our cars can actually be set up to be a great handling car if done properly.
i dont know what you eventually want to spend but i'm currently running the tein ss set up and love them.
                            just my 2 cents.
                            good luck
