ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

    tinted windshield?

So my gf smashed my front end which smashed my windshield.

In the state of nh you cant have tint(Correct me if i'm wrong).

So if I buy a windshield factory already tinted can I get away with it?

Windshield: Non-reflective tint is allowed on the top 6 inches of the windshield.
Front Side Windows: No tint can be applied legally to this window.
Back Side Windows: Must allow more than 35% of light in.
Rear Window: Must allow more than 35% of light in.

I see a shit ton of cars (Newer style cars) that have tinted windows and what not.

The question is though would I get away with factory windows that are tinted. Like inside the glass?

What are they going to do ask me to take out the windows on the spot?

If you buy glass that is made tinted, it's just tinted glass. The rules posted above state that no or certain level tint can be APPLIED to the glass. So buy a new windshield & don't put anything on it.

Check local laws, but like TypeG said, im sure you could get away with 50%.

The tint detectors, that i know of, slide over your side windows; cant do that with the windshield.

Im so glad i live in WA state when i hear how strict other states / cities are when it comes to cars! I mean we dont have those crappy inspections you east coast guys have to go through and they are pretty lenient here with the tint.

Yeah i think the central, northern and northwestern states are more lenient. Cali makes up for the whole west coast.

I dont know all state laws, but im willing to bet WA and OR are among the most lenient in the country.

I worked with a guy from oklahoma and he honestly drove his car with no front clip. just headlights and the front turn signals were just wires with bare bulbs hanging from them.
