ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!
Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956
Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)
Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.
These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.
1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.
2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.
3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.
4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.
The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.
The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

check ebay and other sites for those L.E.D. headlights, I've never had/seen them in a car before, but would be cool for someone to test them out.

On a side note, I know I have said this before in other threads and it is a little but if you want more light output and you don't want to spend a fortune, maybe consider throwing on some aftermarket driving/fog lights. I have a $20 set made by pilot on my car and I got a dramatic increase in light output and I personally think they look bad ass Anyhow that is just my two cents. Hope you can find this information useful.

havent tried them myself but HIR bulbs. What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.
You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

I've had the cheap ass $50 HIDs on my car for years, they dont burn anything up.
Where u getting your false info?
PIAA's are high wattage, if you want to burn something get those.
LED bulbs light up the houseing and look like SEX, but they give you no light output otherwise.
Projectors can (depending on what ones you get) give you alot better output.
Usually though were back talking HID's ofcourse.
So either go HID or suffer

HID's is the way to go. And they are getting more affortable
everyday. But if you want another option. Before HID's were real
popular, I've always used "Nokya Artic White Stage 2," with
a harness just to be safe. And they look like HID's in the headlight
housing. But weren't as bright as HID's but brighter then your
everyday bulbs.

Drawing twice the power of standard halogens through the stock wires WILL damage the harness. If yours hasn't been damaged yet, you have been lucky. I've seen it happen in a matter of months.
A $15 auxiliary harness to the battery will prevent any damage to the main harness. It's really not a big deal. Get HIDs, and get the auxiliary harness. With today's prices, you can do it for under $100. Of course, you'll blind people if you don't do a proper projector retrofit...

The warmup draw is still going to exceed what the OEM halogens draw... which means it's exceeding the intended capabilities of the wiring.
Once HIDs are warmed up, they draw that amount... which is lower than halogen.
The harness is $15 from 3bspecialties. There's really no reason not to get it. Some HID kits come with one, I'm told (the 2 kits I've gotten didn't)

I run the ddmtuning kit on my streetbike and havent blown a fuse yet, still run the 10amp.
this is from their website
"Fully digital, draws less than 6 amps at start up and 3.4 amps at normal operating temperature. This system provides 3200-3400 Lumens at 35 watts and an amazing 5000 Lumens at 55 watts per bulb. In comparison, a typical halogen bulb produces 900-1200 lumens."2007 Subaru WRX Limited - Stage 2
