ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

try dish washing soap. if that doesnt work, try vinegar mixed in water, and if that doesnt work try straight vinegar.

    good luck.

Try using regular car wax or rain-x wax. Worked for me

I use a product called Nevr-Dul. Its the 'Magic Wadding Pollish" and seriously works wonders on glass, and makes my alloy and stainless shine to boot Your local parts and hardware stores should carry it anywhere.

i have never had a problem getting water spots off of windows and florida has some hard water(lots of minerals/impurities in it)
other than scarpping with a razor i would just suggest going to the gas station and using one of the squeegees and clean the window and dry it properly
and do both inside and outside of the windows

you would hate tree sap if water is giving you a hard time

you could try straight up ammonia i had to remove some window tint a week ago and it broke down just about all of the glue / crap on the window

the only thing is you will have to take and wipe it down with Windex which you can make with the ammonia

the Windex ingredient should be on the bottle of ammonia

                hope this helps

oh p.s. use a lot of ventilation when using pure ammonia

                  Water spots

I have the same problem, especially on my side view mirrors. I've tried straight vinegar and it doesn't work. Maybe some household cleaning agent like Lime-away for mineral deposits at the grocery store.

                      /\/\ yeah it can destroy

i have never had a problem with it on my car but my friend just got some on his hood and said it would not come off without lots of effort(do not know his method of approach)

tree sap sucks on your skin so i could imagine trying to get it off a car's paint

Give it an acid bath. I have an automotive detail shop. I use acid to remove water spots. You would have to get the acid from a detail shop supplies company though. Works really good.

acid is your best bet. anything acidic that wont itself leave a stain. lemon juice, vinegar, muriatic acid ect...

in order of aggressiveness (from least to most), you 'd want to try:

wash with car soap mixture and dry
                            glass cleaner
                            vinegar
                            clay bar
                            chrome polish
                            glass polish
                            later.
                            Avoiding dirt at all costs

Straight Rain-X actually took the spots off my car. I was really surprised. That stuff probably cures cancer too. Maybe even Aids...
