Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

cd5 bumpers on cb7?

    cd5 bumpers on cb7?

    i was wondering if anyone ever seen a cb7 with the front and back bumpers of the cd5s. the reason being is that i have spare parts from a cd5.i

    I dont think it will fit.. without some kind of cutting and fabrication.

      Custom work would certainly be needed.

      If you have the parts, do a test fit and see where it doesn't match up. Then put your thinking cap on and see if you can devise a way to MAKE them match up.

        Nope, the front "side" on the CD5 is a bit longer. I remember seeing a member who had a CD5 bumper on the CB7 and it didn't look right at all.

          yea its a bit longer not much but ill do it on my days off witch are wed. thur. as soon as i get to this ill put up some pics ive done before and it came out aright just was a cb7 bumper on a cd5 coupe with the cl headlights and fenders maybe fives ago .

            The best way to make it work would be to cut the stock bumpers in half lengthwise, retaining the top part for mounting to the car. Then cut the CD bumpers the same way, and fit the bottom part to the CB bumper top half. Bracket it on there solidly, then use fiberglass to join the two together seamlessly.

            It's not something I have the knowledge or desire to do... but I've seen it done in the past (not with CB/CD bumpers, but i've seen a memeber do it with a Civic bumper... worked out well in that case.)
