Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

    JDM Clear Corners

    Anyone got a pick of these on a CB cuz I am looking to try to hunt some down on Ebay soon. I can't seem to find a decent pic, I would just like to make sure its what I want to do. Thanks.

            the jdm ones are the same ones that came with our cb's in the us. in europe the edm ones came with the clear corners which only have one socket for a bulb (the running bulb). the turn signal was only used in the bumper signals and in the sidemarkers. ill send you a pic of mine when they come in, they should be here mid this week.

              I'm not referring to "JDM" bullshit that Ebay tags on everything. I'm talking about the genuine JDM clears.

              No, Japan has one piece headlights on the coupe. And the sedan has clears. They are not the same as USDM. And from what you're saying European Market also has them so yeah thats the one I'm talking about.

                    JDM wagons and coupes have two piece headlights. They have all clear corners, OEM. NOT like our usdm ones.

                      These are EDM clear corners with their respective headlights.



                      The corners have only one bulb socket because the cars come standard with sidemarkers. Note the circular cut-off of the reflector bowl inside. They do NOT have a reflector inside, but they do come with a deflector to help dissipate light. JDM and EDM headlights do not have brackets like our USDM headlights have. The "brackets" are built into the headlight housings. As a result, the USDM corners and EDM/JDM corners are not a direct swap. The mounting pegs and screw mounting tab are in different locations.

                      I just posted some info about EDM headlights on drummersteve's MRT.

                      Reason being is the RHD headlights have reflector bowls aimed mostly at the left, whereas LHD are aimed more to the right. Every time I make a right turn in the dark, I can hardly see where the hell I'm going for half a second - till the car straightens out. It sucks and it outweighs the neat factor of having 1pc lights. Another solution would be swapping the glass between EDM and USDM, to be sure you're getting proper output orientation.

                      Oh, also. Those EDM headlights aren't 100% compatible with USDM corners unless you modify them. The mounting pegs are in different spots and the screw tab is in a different spot.
                      Here are USDM corners and headlights for comparative purposes. Note the built in reflector on the corner light. Also note the headlight bracket and presence of "nipples" on the headlight glass.



                      Here's a video that explains the purpose of those "nipples," which are actually called "bosses."

                        Yeah OK yeah thats what I mean then. Regardless of the coupe/sedan/wagon all I'm saying is the REAL shit that the Japanese market has. And right on everybody for the pics and all and thanks for the sticky.

                            If it is in the states more then likely it is an ebay item unless your previous person was a JDM/EDM nutt....

                              i was looking for a set of jdm clears myself...or even the ebay clears but i wanted the ones with the reflector.....but some people want to get rich overnight
