ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

How do you remove the the high mount break like (3rd break light)

Alright I have posted on Facebook and Goolged but I have found different answers for what seems to be different years of Accords. I have read that you have to remove the speakers and carpet from the back window just to get to the light. But the I have also read that you can just remove the 2 bolts and it comes out. I have a 1992 Accord Ex coupe and all I really want to know is for the 92 Accord's how does the high mount break light or 3rd break light housing come out? I really need to clean the dead bugs out of mine "lol" Thanks for any help guys!

Do you just want to change the light? Or do you want to get rid of the entire break light? If you just want to change the light, go through the trunk and it will just twist off like a headlight bulb. If you want to remove it, you will have to find the entire mat off of a cb7 that had a spoiler which included the rear brake light. Hope that answered your question!

okay so after you pull the back seat down. pull the side cushions out of your way

pic of the top of the cushion.
            And on the bottom

            Pull down this thing

To get the top piece off there are 4 of these clips holding it on

            Pinch them and push up

Then remove your speakers from the rear deck. To take off the rear dash mat there are plastic buttons like these push them up with the end of a screw driver from inside the trunk

then you just gently pull it out at an angle might have to bend it a bit. One its out you can unscrew the 2 bolts in the last pic. Then your brake light can come out

            C-3PO's MRT USDM yo!

then i see my baby, suddenly I'm not crazy,

                Hey Quashish,
I see that you have the LED strip there, to where do you connect or tap that into?
                Thanks.

You're right. I thought it was a trunk light strip.
                    Thanks.

I was trying to figure it out today now I can see I was missing the bolts by the rear seat. As for the blinking LED it looks like a rats nest of wiring and a fire hazard. Who's going to see it when the trunk is closed anyhow?

All the wiring is up against the inside of the rear deck, and I've re done the wiring since then for my whole system too. Video was right after I first installed. LEDs only use milli amps for power, and give off no heat so I'm not sure how it could ever be a fire hazard. The point is people would see it with the trunk open while I show off the sub as the lights flash with the bass thump. Like in the video I posted.

And I'm glad I could help you op
