ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

Its still pretty straightforward. Plastic plug type deal under the mirror (dunno the proper term for it), Screw in handrest, Door handle, and lower corner. You will need a small flathead to pry the covers of them out. When pulling the door handle off pull it toward the front of the car so it will unhook. Take off the power lock plug in the back, Get you something to move the plastic clip thing over and pull out the metal rod. AFter that should be able to unclip the door and it should come off.

If you dont have power windows then dont forget about that damn C clip the holds the window crank on. That can be a bitch to get out, lol. I just wrap a rag around it and pull and it usually unhooks the C clip.

Thanks a lot guys, I have power windows so I guess it makes it easyer, I would like to change both my speakers....

I would also like to change the exterior door handle (actually just swap the passager one) because the one on the drivers side is very old and feels all stiff, the one on the passager side works like new, can I do so? if yes will I be able to keep my powerlock doors? I have a 1993 EX CB7...

Also do I need to pull te panel really hard for it to unclip, or which movement is more apropriate to take off the panel in the most undamaging way?

            Thanks

i dont think you can swap the passenger side handle to the driver side because it a mirror image of the driver side so it wouldnt fit...but i dont know what it looks like so who knows. lolz

fyi: door panels are very easy to remove on almost any vehicle, they are pretty much all the same, there are plastic plugs that run around the edge of the panel. get a panel popper (the "right" way) from sears or most any hardware stores, 99% of the time i dont even use any tool other than a drill to take out screws. u just get ur finger under the edge of the door and yank the bitch off, be gentle but dont be afraid to pull it. the door handles usually slide to the side and pull out easily (make sure u remove any screws holding it. im just tryin to help anyone i can with this, i know youve prolly got it off already. i install speakers, stereos, amps, all that mobile electronics crap for a living so if you have any other questions i can try to help. peace guys

Spray some lube on the door handle when you take off your door panel. Try some WD40 or something.
