ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Front bumper issues

Here is a question that has been bothering me. First let me explain what happened:
A few years before I got my car my step-mom bumped into my dad's Jeep Grand Cherokee and scraped the paint and bent the drivers side part of the bumper. Is there a way to bend it back? It's not so bad that it's very noticeable, but it is kind of annyoing seeing as how my grill sits a bit lopsided due to the damage. Can a body shop fix it? or can I do it myself?
    Thanks for the help!

You can try bending it back but its gonna take time and work. You could go to the local junkyard and pick one up which isnt that bad. If you planned to do it I would imagine you would need a level surface obviously, some heat, and try to bend it back.

Depending on what is bent determines what you will have to do to straiten it out, and how hard it will be to do. It could just be a messed up bumper mount, or it could be something totally different.

If you've got a problem, I might have an answer... or a sledgehammer.

the brackets that hold the bumper support beam to the car are really solid... mine was bent, and i couldnt even get it lined up with a sledgehammer. might want to hit up a junkyard...

            werd..
all the junkyards around here have lots of cb's and some already have the bumper removed, so if the support is bent, then you can easily get to it.

I don't want to buy a new bumper unless it's a JDM one, b/c it's probably gonna cost the same considering the junkyards around here charge out of the ass for big stuff like that. I also discovered to my irritation that my hood is a bit bent too. Pissed me off.
I think if I fix the hood the grill will look fine; the bumper isn't so noticeable until your right up on it. and for pics, check out my ride page in my sig. simple enough. thanks guys.
