ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.
2 of 2 < >

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:
http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?f=144
Read them. You will be expected to follow them.

      Elaborate?

You captured two images and blended them, or took one RAW file and ran it through the converter twice (adjusting for different exposures) and then blended those files, or ... ?

Ah, I had the basic idea! i have Photoshop Elements and a camera that shoots RAW so I'll try that. I just read an article in Photography magazine that showed how ...

NAiL05: if I ever learn the secret handshake that tells me how to search over there I'll give it a whirl. I don't know what the deal is but that site is horrifically busy and convoluted. What freaks me out is they have multiple subforums that could all be general "tech" forums (if you ask me) and well, searching owns me. Over there I can't find a thread I posted to, or even started the day after I do it. Blah.

Well ... thanks. I did try ... I searched for "HDR" and got nothing. Then I selected a forum but had to cheat since the link you provided said it was in Appearance. So I tried that. I got nothing until I searched in archived threads and found some older stuff. Never did turn up the link you found.

It's like I said, there's something different about that site; I just haven't cracked it. Too many levers to pull, buttons to push, to get anywhere for me.

Think I like that one better; has a sort of slice-of-life feel to it. And it doesn't have the odd halo effect that the first one has.

There's always ImageShack. That's the only other alternative I can think of... maybe Yahoo! Briefcase?

Oh, there are lots. I have a smugmug account. Load up as many big-ass images as you want. There's a free account (don't remember the restrictions) and paid. I have the $50/yr deal that comes with goodies.

With smugmug you can just upload your originals and they automatically make 3 sizes for you, with links you can copy for forum or whatever posting. However, if all your pics are for internet posting it still makes sense to downsize them first prior to uploading. I don't really know what their bandwidth limitations are.
