ANY BUYING/SELLING IN THIS FORUM WILL RESULT IN AN INSTANT BAN!

Read the rules: http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=43956

Myself, and the other mods have been very nice and lenient with the rules. We have been deleting threads, and giving out warnings. Some members didn't get the clue and re-posted over and over... Now ANY member buying or selling in this section will be banned... No IF's AND's or BUT's.

Beginner Forum Rules - EVERYBODY read! (old and new members alike!)

Beginners start here. Once you have 30 worthwhile posts (off topic doesn't count) you may post outside of the Beginner forums. Any "whoring" (posting simply to raise your post count) will return your count to 0, or result in a ban.

These are the rules. Read them. Live by them.

1) Absolutely NO flaming! "Flaming" is an outright attack on a member. ALL questions are encouraged to be asked here, no matter how basic. Members with over 30 posts will be subject to a ONE WEEK ban if caught flaming in this forum (and yes, moderators can read deleted posts). Members with under 30 posts will be subject to a ONE DAY ban.

2) Use appropriate language. Racial or sexual slurs will not be tolerated. A ban will be issued at the discretion of the cb7tuner.com staff.

3) No items may be sold in the Beginner forums. Any "for sale" threads will be deleted.

4) Temporarily banned members will be PERMANTLY banned if they are found posting on another account.

The rules can and will be added to. Any updates will be marked in the title.

The rules for the overall forum can be found here:

    Cleaning the headliner...

Hey guys. I must say this is an amazing forum regarding our precious CB7's. I have a question, and if so i hope TypeG or many other detailing enthusiasts can help me out.

I own both a 1992 Honda Accord EX-R and a 1993 Honda Accord SE Coupe both of which are one owner cars (owned and purchased from day one by my father here in Toronto, Canada).

Well after keeping these cars as mint as they could have been, i noticed that there is some grease/orange-yellowish substance located on the above headliner...Mainly on the sunroof cover. Ive tried feeling them and they seem to be some sort of grease or something. I tried cleaning it with just a regular hot damp cloth and yet its not coming off... What would you recommend to clean such a thing, any type of products out their to tackle the job, but i dont want to ruin the interior on any other the cars... ruining the SE's leather or the EX-R's cloth would kill me...lol im a detail enthusiast myself.

Thanks again, hope to hear from you guys soon.

i use simple green on my headliner with a soft bristle brush, then wipe with a terry towel. sometimes vinyl stains and not much can be done about it because it's porous.

you can also refer to this thread:

i noticed you also mentioned leather. use a high quality cleaner and conditioner that are made to work in conjunction with each other. later.

Lets say someone drew permanent marker on the headliner how do you get it out without any scuff or scotch pad marks on it while you brush?

if you use a soft bristle brush it doesn't leave any marks. you can also try the magic earaser or hairspray for permanent marker. later.
